Job Responsibilities:
Oversee all occupational health, safety, and environmental (HSE) aspects of property development and construction projects.
Work closely with the Project Director and site management teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and implementation of robust HSE systems.
Drive continuous improvement of safety performance and promote a strong safety culture across all construction sites.
Minimize project risks and support the successful delivery of large-scale developments in line with the company’s sustainability and operational excellence objectives.
Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential safety hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Develop and implement safety procedures, policies, and training programs to ensure compliance with local and international safety standards.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety training programs, ensuring all site personnel are adequately trained and aware of safety protocols.
Lead investigations of accidents or incidents, determining root causes and implementing corrective measures.
Ensure that all HSE documentation is maintained accurately and up to date.
Coordinate with contractors and consultants to ensure safety practices are being followed and address any issues that arise.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Civil Engineering, Building Construction, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 15 years of total work experience, with at least 10 years in a construction safety role for large-scale civil or building projects.
Strong knowledge of local safety regulations and industry best practices.
Knowledge of international safety standards is required and considered a strong advantage.
Proven experience in safety monitoring and coordination with contractors and consultants.
Experience working on the developer side is an advantage.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in written and spoken English.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
