Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee and put into practice data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to protect data assets and ensure compliance with regulations like PDPA and GDPR.

  • Enhance data privacy awareness and training programs for employees by collaborating with the People team.

  • Regularly conduct audits and assessments to monitor adherence to data governance policies and regulations.

  • Create protocols for data sharing agreements and guarantee compliance with contractual obligations.

  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and partners to ensure ethical and legal use, management, and security of personal data.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to evaluate and improve data quality, integrity, and accessibility throughout the organization.

  • Assess and recommend data management tools and technologies that align with data governance objectives.

  • Offer guidance and support during data breaches or security incidents that involve sensitive data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • 3+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field within the retail, real estate, or digital industries.

  • Experience working with third-party vendors and managing data acquisition processes.

  • In-depth knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., PDPA, GDPR) and best practices for data governance and data management.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify data governance issues.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.

  • Certification in Data Management (e.g., CDMP) or other relevant professional certifications is a plus.
