Job Responsibilities
Oversee and put into practice data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to protect data assets and ensure compliance with regulations like PDPA and GDPR.
Enhance data privacy awareness and training programs for employees by collaborating with the People team.
Regularly conduct audits and assessments to monitor adherence to data governance policies and regulations.
Create protocols for data sharing agreements and guarantee compliance with contractual obligations.
Manage relationships with third-party vendors and partners to ensure ethical and legal use, management, and security of personal data.
Work with cross-functional teams to evaluate and improve data quality, integrity, and accessibility throughout the organization.
Assess and recommend data management tools and technologies that align with data governance objectives.
Offer guidance and support during data breaches or security incidents that involve sensitive data.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
3+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field within the retail, real estate, or digital industries.
Experience working with third-party vendors and managing data acquisition processes.
In-depth knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., PDPA, GDPR) and best practices for data governance and data management.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify data governance issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
Certification in Data Management (e.g., CDMP) or other relevant professional certifications is a plus.
