Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a data and analytics strategy and roadmap that aligns with the business unit's overall strategy and drives value.

  • Create a prioritized portfolio of data and analytics use cases that address existing business challenges and opportunities.

  • Develop business cases for use cases, documenting costs, benefits, and impact.

  • Execute entity-driven use cases and embed scaled analytics on strategic/execution use cases from functions, categories, or joint market value within their market.

  • Demonstrate test-and-learn scenarios in a smaller scope, innovate new ideas, and showcase value.

  • Orchestrate data governance within the market, working with stakeholders, stewards, owners, and the data office.

  • Manage change and adoption for use cases to ensure value realization.

  • Act as the custodian of data literacy in the market, ensuring that data literacy needs are met for all functions and categories.

Measurements/Performance Indicators

  • Cross-functional data and analytics roadmap adherence to function planning cycle and timelines

  • Business value generated from embedded scaled analytic solutions and analytics projects within the roadmap

  • NPS score from project stakeholders

  • Number of test-and-learn/innovation projects created

  • Adherence to relevant data governance/quality measures

  • Embedding of knowledge within the market and subsequent usage of value-added solutions

  • Baseline market analytical maturity and track usage of analytical tools in relation to training

Key Outputs: Stakeholder Engagement and Analytics Evangelization

  • Identify opportunities to leverage analytical techniques on data assets to drive business solutions.

  • Lead teams towards an analytical culture change through the presentation of analytically based business recommendations.

  • Socialize best practices to the market analytics community and participate in communities of practice.

  • Lead community development within the market, coach citizen analysts, and develop/highlight talent.

Measurements/Performance Indicators

  • Development of business partnerships with key stakeholders

  • Number of analytical interventions and innovations on a roadmap

  • Adoption of new ways of working based on analytical deliveries for the local market

  • Number of analytical practitioners within a market

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.

  • Commercial Analytics Experience: 10+ years of experience in commercial analytics.

  • Executive Advisory: Proven ability to directly advise senior executive leadership team members.

  • Data Visualization and Statistical Expertise: Demonstrated experience in data visualization and knowledge of statistical techniques and software (e.g., MS Power BI, R, Python, Open Source) and cloud environments (AZURE, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.).

  • Analytical Model Implementation: Experience leveraging analytical models to solve business problems, with successful implementation and proven business value return.

  • Simplifying Complex Information: Ability to simplify complex messages and make them understandable to business people.

  • Business Acumen: Demonstrated business knowledge in FMCG/CPG or Retail industry and experience applying analytics to scenarios within this domain.

  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in coordinating across teams.

  • Communicating Complex Insights: Proven ability to communicate complex results and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences, leading to successful analytic collaboration.

  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead a team and work with minimal supervision.

  • Global Collaboration: Demonstrated experience working in a global environment and with virtual teams, leading to business value.

  • Customer Focus: Demonstrated experience utilizing excellent customer-facing skills to drive analytic collaboration.

Business Understanding: Broad knowledge and understanding of the business and functional end-to-end flows, including their processes and interdependencies.
